GB Meeting: Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Megan Gergen from the Journey Center for Safety and Healing will be joining us on our discussion about domestic violence in commemoration of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Megan Gergen is the current Outreach and Training Coordinator at Journey Center for Safety and Healing. She is a Registered Advocate in Senior Standing with the Ohio Advocate Network and has worked in the field of domestic violence for more than ten years. Prior to her current position, Megan worked at Journey Center’s emergency shelter as both a youth and shelter advocate, from there she transitioned to working in the community as a teen & young adult advocate, as well as a justice system advocate at Domestic Relations Court and in various court municipalities throughout Cuyahoga County.
Megan is a graduate of Carroll College in Helena, Montana where she received a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Kent State University.
