PP Advocates of Ohio Statehouse Action Council

PP Advocates of Ohio Statehouse Action Council is a volunteer group dedicated to tracking, raising awareness of, and mobilizing rapid response around legislation moving through the Ohio Statehouse that impacts reproductive health, rights, and justice. It serves as a critical watchdog and organizing hub, ensuring our communities are informed and empowered to act. Members monitor bills—and coordinate grassroots advocacy efforts including: • Community education: Distributing accurate, accessible information about legislation and its impact on reproductive freedom. • Coalition building: Partnering with other organizations and community leaders to amplify our collective voice. • Rapid response mobilization: Organizing calls to action when harmful legislation advances, including rallies, testimony, phone banks, and letter-writing campaigns. There will be training available to members to learn how to participate in lobbying, outreach, and public campaigns. The group is grounded in Planned Parenthood’s values of equity, inclusivity, and collective power. It plays a vital role in defending reproductive freedom and building a future where all Ohioans have access to the care they need—no matter who they are or where they live.
